Who doesn't like a great song?

Well, at Landmark Village, residents and team members once again have been getting their musical fix with the return of a much-loved karaoke program at the Sarnia seniors living community.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions in place, Landmark Village was not able to offer karaoke to residents for a long time. But since some restrictions have eased, everyone has been able to get up to the mic and sing their favourite tunes to the cheers of their peers.

Musical programs are always big hits with residents and team members alike at Steeves & Rozema long-term care and seniors living communities, so it was big news to get karaoke back, says Landmark Village fun co-ordinator Brent Hart.

With pandemic precautions in place, such as social distancing and mask wearing, residents and team members took turns singing to everyone's joy in Landmark Village's Great Hall.

“(Everyone) picked their favourite songs and had a lot of fun,” Brent tells S&R Today. “It was a great turnout and everyone had fun.”

Due to the success of the program, Landmark Village is planning regular karaoke days for residents.

“We plan on doing it at least once a month,” Brent says.
