People working at Twin Lakes Village were recently honoured during Team Member Appreciation Week at the Sarnia seniors living community.

From June 20 to June 24, executive director Becky Jackson organized a series of prize draws, and lots of treats were doled out to everyone to thank them for their hard work.

The week kicked off with a punchboard for team members to stick their hands into to pick numbers that corresponded to prizes. Throughout the week, Becky offered a variety of snacks in the break room for team members, including potato chips, chocolate bars, ice cream treats, muffins and cookies.

The prize draws and food were a way to honour team members for their hard work, commitment and dedication to Twin Lakes Village residents and to each other.

“There was a buzz around the home with the gifts and treats that were so generously provided to us each day,” Twin Lakes Village fun co-ordinator Ruby Gallant tells S&R Today.

Ruby notes that Becky also had words of gratitude each day for team members “to honour them even more.”

Thank-you notes were posted in a common area for everyone to see. The messages thanked team members for their kindness, compassion and support.

Ruby says Team Member Appreciation Week meant a lot to everyone working at Twin Lakes Village.

“I am so grateful to be part of this team,” she says, adding she and other team members are grateful to Becky for thinking of them.

“Thank you for making it that much more enjoyable to come to work.”
